Lagu ini pertama kali saya dengar sekitar tahun 1985 tatkala menjadi pengiring musik talempong untuk tari pasambahan kelompok UKM (Unit Kesenian Minang) ITB. Kalau tidak salah tampil di sebuah hotel disekitar arah jalan Pajajaran. Dimainkan oleh organ tunggal plus penyanyi namun dilengkapi juga oleh saxophone yang dimainkan dengan cantik oleh pemusik yang gagah berumur sekitar 45 tahun waktu itu. What a memory....sejak itu lagu ini menjadi favorite saya.

Notes on the Song.
Firstly, I heard this song in our dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Elias Ginting, Indonesian Ambassador to Finland and Estonia in one of Estonian fine restaurant in Tallinn hosted by Honorary Counsel Mr. Heldur Allese . I took a note of the singer and tittle. The next day on my presentation, I bravely enough to sing the intro of the song, right at the introduction part of my presentation. Soon after the discussion, on the light lunch time, the organizer of the seminar handed me a pair of CDs of Raimond Valgre (The Best of)...Thanks God for such nice present, not only CDs but also the experience and  friendship.
